The Twinkling Star

Namrata Talukdar

The observer and mind reader befits Detective Byomkesh Bakshi

The girl next door was bowled over by Ishaan Bhatt,

The frivolous guy in Shuddh Desi Romance

Yes it was you, with that trademark smile on.

We cried when tears rolled down the eyes

And you lost the love of your life in PK

Sarfaraz Yousuf was etched in our heart

and turned into that dream of every girl.

And then you came roaring as the victorious yet the coolest,

MS Dhoni, and success was indispensable.

The chocolate boy returned in Raabta

And then suddenly the peaceful soul was tormented,

The best performance was saved for the final time in Chichchore

Aniruddh showed us the path and taught

Suicide is not an option...

What an Irony!

A true blue fan and my pen has not yet dared to jot -

"Happiest Birthday Idol",

Your films are carving innumerable memories and thoughts.

The twinkling Star, a wanderer in the galaxy

The screen, losing its sheen, a void till infinity.
